IELTS Reading

Today we start with the reading section ...

IELTS Reading consists of 3 text passages and about 40 questions in total. A variety of questions are used. We will look at each question type in detail below. For every type of question there are instructions and example in the exam. Passages are taken from books, newspapers, magazines and the topics are very diverse, from animal safaris to nanotechnology.

There are the following main types of IELTS reading questions:

1. Match headings
2. True/false/not given
3. Multiple choice
4. Short Answers
5. Sentence completion
6. Flowchart Completion
7. Gap Fill
9. Diagram labelling
