You should spend about 20 minutes on this task. Write about the following topic
You are due to move into a rented apartment next month but you will not be able to because you have some problems.
Write a letter to the course provider. In your letter:
- explain your situation
- describe your problems
- tell him/her when you think you can move in
Write at least 150 words.
Dear Sir,
I am a 23-year-old Indian national, and I recently leased a house for six months from 1st November. I am writing to inform you that I cannot move in by the agreed date due to some unforeseen circumstances.
I currently work as a software developer for Amazon at Seattle, Washington. I have secured a new job in Minneapolis, and I am supposed to start on November 10th. Last week, when I was on my way home, a had an accident. Luckily, I did not have any major injuries. Nonetheless, I broke my right wrist and cannot type properly. I was recommended bed rest and adequate medical treatment. Therefore, I had to change my joining date to December 1st when I am expected to fully recover. This is the main reason that I cannot move in on November 1st.
I can ensure that I can move in on December 1st if that is okay for you. I know that you are very considerate and can accommodate my request. I look forward to a positive response from you.
Yours faithfully,
Jane Doe.
