The bar chart below shows figures of annual coffee and meat consumption. Write a report for a university tutor describing the information shown.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The bar chart provides information about the yearly amount of meat and coffee consumption in Norway, France, Germany, the USA, Russia, China and Japan. Overall, it is evident that the meat consumption in the United States far exceeds the rest of the countries, while Norway has by far the highest amount of coffee consumption.
In the United States, the average person consumed about 122 kg of meat annually, followed by Germany, France and Norway with figures of 87 kg/person, 72kg/person and 60 kg per person respectively. In contrast, it is noticeable that there are significantly lower amount of meat consumption in Russia, China and Japan, in which the consumption rates of these countries were less than 50 kg/person.
Norwegians tops the chart with the annual coffee consumption of 9 kg per person. The next highest consumption rate is recorded in Germany at 7 kg per person and France and China have the same coffee consumption pattern at 5 kg per person. The lowest amount of coffee consumption can be seen in China and Japan with low yearly consumption rates of 2 and 3 kg per person respectively.
